After 13 unforgettable years, Pierce of Art has a new home — and a new chapter begins.
From Elder Way to Knifesmithgate, we’ve grown, adapted, and built something special with your support. Our latest move, just down the road to 36 Knifesmithgate (next to Oxfam), is more than just a change of address. It’s a fresh start designed with you in mind — and we want to tell you why we did it.
WHY WE MOVED
Our old studio served us well, but the space had become too large for what we wanted next. It was ready for a refit, and we knew it was time to reshape the experience — to create something more intimate, less daunting, and with a more luxurious feel.
The new studio is exactly that.
It’s a cleaner, tighter setup. It feels more personal, more premium, and better suited to showcase the jewellery you’ve come to love. We’ve also made room for exciting additions — including welded bracelets and a full collection of jewellery beyond piercings: think rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and more.
WHY WE NEARLY CHANGED OUR NAME
- AND WHY WE DIDN'T
As we prepared for the move, we considered rebranding completely. We wanted to reflect the premium evolution of the studio and felt that a modern name might better suit the vision we had in mind.
But your feedback made the decision for us.
“Pierce of Art” isn’t just a name. It's part of Chesterfield. People literally use it as a landmark when giving directions. It’s where many had their first piercing — or brought friends for theirs. It’s familiar, it’s trusted, and it’s ours.
So while we did toy with something new, we’re proud to keep the name that got us here. It gives us space to grow in other ways — offering premium options, yes, but also keeping room for budget-friendly services, so we stay accessible to everyone.
WHAT'S NEW,
WHAT'S THE SAME
The faces? Still the same team.
The jewellery? Now even more — with brands like Junipurr, Neometal, Nina Wynn, Auricle, and more.
The vibe? Modern, confident, and more refined — without losing the warmth and personality that built our community.
The new studio doesn’t have wide open spaces, and that’s deliberate. It feels better. More focused. Better for browsing, better for talking, better for working — and better for you.
WHAT WE'RE PROUD OF
We’re proud that we’re still here. Still adapting. Still evolving. We’ve faced challenges head-on, and we’ve never been afraid to make bold moves when they lead to something better.
This move is exactly that. And we’re so glad you’re with us for it.
Come visit us at 36 Knifesmithgate. The paint’s still drying, but the next chapter is underway — and it’s looking good.
